Grant Information

The purpose of the Love, Play, Smile grant is to support the vision of other organizations that have a desire to create valuable learning experiences for children and provide opportunities for families to spend time together making memories. Any organization designated as a 501(c)(3) under the Internal Revenue Code is eligible to apply. Grant Application

Please complete and submit this application, along with a copy of your organization's most recent tax-exempt letter. To ensure that your request is considered, these items should be received by Finley's Smile on or before March 1. Grant recipients will be determined by April 1.

Grant Recipients

Examples of organizations that have received the Love, Play, Smile grant in the past include:

  • Delaware Community Center YMCA: Family play space.

  • Boardman Arts Park: Community arts event. 

  • Gators Bike Park: A community mountain bike park for children and their families.

  • Granby Garden: School butterfly garden.

  • Harvest Hills Ministries: Playground for children attending camp and other events. 

  • The Ohio Wildlife Center: Family night hikes series

  • Marmon Valley Farms: Provided scholarships for children to attend horse camp

  • Wyatt Adkins Heart Organization: Legacy Community Park Development

  • Together We Grow Gardens: Community gardening program

  • Caring for Kids: Provides individualized opportunities for children in foster care to engage in fun and new experiences, while building relationships with their biological and foster families

  • Second Ward Community Center: Family Dinner project, where children and their families learn to cook nutritious meals, while having fun together in the kitchen

  • Andrew's House: Grant funds helped to revamp the common space where noncustodial parents have the opportunity to play and engage with their children. Funds also provided scholarships for low income families to experience the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra

  • Columbus Early Learning Centers: ParentChild+ program materials and family meals.
